When the new Deputy Director of Education and Learning, Marium Haque, joined Bradford Council last October she has been focused on how Bradford had responded to the Children and Families Act 2014, and where it could improve. The areas that were needing to improve then became work streams.
From the start of the work streams parent/carers were involved and have become active members of each group. Each work stream has an action plan and some of the actions have already been rolled out, such as, a new ECHP team.
The four work streams are:
- Coproduction and Engagement
- Integrated Assessment and Service Delivery
- Joint Commissioning
- Preparation for Adulthood
The actions coming from the work streams have been directly influenced by the Parents’ Forum, from feedback we have received directly from parents.
